Kevin Hsieh started to practice law in 2015 and joined Pontis Law in July 2018. Mr. Hsieh is one of the few lawyers in Taiwan with dual backgrounds and expertise in construction and law. He has worked in the public sector for many years in various division including in the Council for Economic Planning and Development, Council for Cultural Development and Executive Yuan, handling many major infrastructure projects. He was also the member of Committee for Port-City Integration of Kaohsiung City Government and of Management Committee of Water Resources Operation Fund of Ministry of Economic Affairs. In addition, he went to University of Mississippi as a visiting scholar and conducted relevant research there. Since he started to practice law in 2015, he has been focusing on public procurement and construction related dispute resolution. He has represented clients in many high-profile construction or public procurement related disputes, having a wide range of experience in mediation, arbitration, litigation and non-litigation matters and specializing in assist clients in construction appraisals. Mr. Hsieh is highly trusted by his clients. Recently, Mr. Hsieh has actively engaged in urban renewal, reconstruction of urban unsafe and old buildings, creating a win-win situation for his clients as well as the counterparties.
